Our Accessibility Promise
Accessibility is about more than checklists, it’s about dignity, equity, and intention. That’s why we approach it as a mindset, a methodology, and a commitment that runs through everything we create.
We prioritize:
ADA and WCAG compliance
Clear visual hierarchy and legible typography
Alt text and image descriptions
Captioning and motion-conscious design
Keyboard navigation and color contrast
Inclusive language and plain-language writing
PDF accessibility and screen-reader formatting
We aim to:
Design everything to meet (and whenever possible, exceed) current ADA and WCAG guidelines. Beyond compliance, we also consider additional disability-centered needs, including muted color palettes and strategic visual design for people with photosensitivity, migraines, and seizure disorders.
Never charge extra for basic accessibility design standards because it’s part of the work.
Educate, explain, and empower you to understand what accessibility means for your brand and your audience.
Always advocate for design that includes more people, not fewer.
Who It’s For
Accessible design helps everyone. Whether your audience includes disabled users, neurodivergent communities, multilingual readers, older adults, or anyone using assistive technology, inclusive design expands your reach and reflects your values.
You don’t need to be a nonprofit or government agency to care about accessibility. You just need to care about people.
Our Process
Accessibility isn’t something we “tack on” at the end of a project. It’s baked in from the beginning. Every design decision, from color to code, is made with inclusion in mind.
We follow current ADA and WCAG 2.2 standards, and we’ll always explain what that means for your brand, your website, and your audience. If your content isn’t accessible yet, we’ll help you get there, without shame, overwhelm, or ego.
A Human-Centered Design Approach
We believe access is a right, not a favor. We also know that perfection isn’t the point, progress is. At Unmuted Creative, we make accessibility feel approachable, achievable, and authentic to your brand. We're trained in human-centered design and have implemented hundreds of brands using this methodology. When you combine that with deep accessibility expertise, you get more than good design, you get inclusive, intentional design that reflects who you are and who you serve.
This isn’t just what we do. It’s who we are.
